We've decided to make a wiki for the Fallout universe. We don't have a
name yet, but since a lot of people know about it, I figure I may as
well announce it here. You can view the wiki <a href="http://wiki.duckandcover.cx">here</a>. I've also created a forum for discussing it <a href="http://www.duckandcover.cx/forums/viewf ... 6">here</a>.

The sysops (administrators) for the wiki are:

We'll be adding to this list in the next few days, if you feel you'd
make a good sysop, feel free to PM one of us or post a reply here.

One of the first things we need to do is decide on a name. As you can see from the <a href="http://wiki.duckandcover.cx">front page of the wiki</a>, some have already been suggested; feel free to add your own ideas.

If you're a bit lost on how to use a wiki, feel free to <a href="http://www.duckandcover.cx/forums/viewf ... ?f=56">ask in the forum</a>, or <a href="http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/MediaWik ... uide">read the users manual</a>.

As you'll probably notice, it's possible for someone to go in there
and spam everything and delete the parts they didn't spam. Firstly,
this spam is reversable so it can be undone easily. Secondly, IPs are
stored and people can be banned from the wiki (and this site) if they
decide they want to wreck everything, so I'm hoping that won't happen.

I think there's a lot of potential in this, so let's see what happens...

Actually it's because administrating the thing and keeping track of all the changes is a bitch. People are also allowed to link anything that's Fallout related so if it's an article at NMA, you're more than welcome to link to it in an appropriate place in the wiki. Hell, write a page about the fan-sites if you want.

We should ban Kharn too. He's like the new Ozrat or something.

You can't over-admin a wiki, like Dan said. All a sysop can do over regular users is ban IPs/users and rollback spam to a previous, non-spammed version.
