Looking at the facts, I don't think there's much room to doubt the fact that <a href="http://www.troikagames.com">Troika</a> has finished. After the <a href="http://www.duckandcover.cx/#8503">email</a> that was posted yesterday, David "marshmonkey" Marsh, formerly of Troika, had this to say to <a href="http://img186.exs.cx/img186/9559/horror ... Exitium</a>, everyone's favourite flip-flopper (and notoriously gleeful when these rumours first surfaced), <a href="http://www.nma-fallout.com/forum/viewto ... =12076">on NMA</a>:

I think we can take this as confirmation, given the way Marsh has been
very careful about his comments and them being misinterpreted in the
past. I'm happy to be proved wrong, but I can't see any other way to look at it.

We're waiting on an official statement which will likely be along soon. None of this is 100% confirmed until then.

I don't quite understand how this happened, as I'm led to believe all
of Troika's games sold reasonably well with good reviews. I'd put it
down to bad management rather than bad sales, but that's just me
speculating. I'm sure there's an interesting story to be told behind all this. And I wonder what Leonard Boyarsky, Tim Cain, Jason Anderson and the other staff are going to do now.

There goes Fallout's spiritual successor, and a fine company.

If Troika ends, it is most likely due to the unfortunate habit of releasing games before they are finished & not offering reasonable patches or support. Here is hoping that if the rumors are true that it bodes well for FO3. I doubt it, but we'll see.
