He's a noob, cut him some slack. Hopefully he won't do that all of the time! OTB can delete the other posts.
A minimap is made within the level editor - there should be a command for it in the pull down menus. Briefings and objectives - look at the some of MV's text files for a good example of how to put a mission text file together.

Aw, shucks... Thanks JJ86Jimmyjay86 wrote: look at the some of MV's text files for a good example of how to put a mission text file together.
I don't have the time to go into detail right now, so I'll just tell you how to add a briefing (the easiest)
1) Make your speech file. Call it mymap_speech.txt or something.
2) Open it up in a text editor (WordPad, Notepad, etc.)
3) Type MISSION_BRIEF = {blah blah blah} (replace "blah blah blah" with what you want the briefing to be). It is VERY IMPORTANT that you use { and }. These are the characters that the game uses to decide when one thing starts and another stops.
4) Save the file
5) Open up yer map in the level editor
6) Click on "Level"
7) Click Speech File...
8 ) Find the .txt file you just made, and double-click on it
9) Save the map
That's all!
Like JJ86 said: You can learn a lot by looking at what other people have done (me, Endocore, MicroForte, etc.). That's how I learned most of the stuff (and posting here, of course Actually, it was posting in the RPGPlanet forums, but hey...)
