You can read an <a href="http://articles.filefront.com/Ballerium ... >interview on FileFront with Eyal Netanel of Majorem, developers of the latest virgin sacrifice to Herve, Ballerium.
There's no specific mention of Interplay, but it's fun to read if
you're morbidly curious about the project Herve's going to destroy next.

Q: How did the idea for an MMOG/RTS hybrid start?
A: Actually we don't look at it as an MMOG/RTS hybrid. To us in
Majorem, MMO/RTS has always looked like an independent genre. We liked
Strategy games - both TBS and RTS - and therefore decided to take these
strategy games one step forward, enabling thousands of players to play
on a single virtual world.
...

Q: When can we expect the game to hit the shelves?
A: We still don't have an exact date for that, but at the pace
things are progressing, I'd say that late summer seems like a good
guess.

All that stands between publication
of the game in the Summer and now is Interplay having offices,
Interplay having staff, Interplay having servers to support the game,
Interplay having internet access at all, Interplay having employees to
steal money from to buy internet access, Herve Caen's inherant knack of
destroying anything he touches, and Herve Caen. Aside from that, and
the game not sounding particularly interesting (though no worse than
most MMOs, to be fair), things
are looking good.
Thanks to Exitium for the news tip.
