Something impressive
<strong>[Film & TV -> Update]</strong> - More info on <a href="http://wikipocalypse.duckandcover.cx/in ... ?title=The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy">Film & TV: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy</a>
<a href="http://hitchhikers.movies.go.com/">The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy</a>
has had a new trailer released, and it's a lot better than the first.
In fact, it's very impressive and if it sets the tone for the whole
film, I think it will be something to look forward to.
At the moment you can only get it <a href="http://video.ugo.com/player.aspx?articl ... ">streamed from UGO</a>, but more sources should be available soon and we'll let you know when they're up.
You get to hear <strong>Alan Rickman</strong> as Marvin and <strong>Stephen Fry</strong> as The Guide, and both, in my opinion, were perfectly cast.
<strong>Update</strong>: you can now get the trailer from <a href="http://www.filmcow.com/hhgttg2.asf">filmcow as a .asf download</a>.

This is possibly the first film that I've actually thought wasn't going to suck.
Although...from this new trailer, it looks like the previous news that HHGG tried to not use CG was a little misleading. This thing is jampacked with CG...but at least it looks good.

If anything, i'd say Hitchhikers would be the easiest to adapt. All different versions of the books have had differences, just certain key elements included. The radio show is different from the books which is different from the mini-series which is different from the text adventure, all of those had Douglas Adams involved usually in a large way....Nice trailer. Still not sure this is the kind of book that can be easily adapted.
So theres lots of freedom when making a new version of the books, so says him himself.
A bad book to turn into a movie would be Lord of the Rings, but meh, people are dumb
