It's been revealed that an important character in the Hitchhiker's Guide books, <strong>Deep Thought</strong>, is being voiced by <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000545/">Helen Mirren</a> in the <a href="http://hitchhikers.movies.go.com/">film version</a>. She's starred in some controversial films such as <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080491/">Caligola</a> and <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0097108/">The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover</a> (best ending in a film ever?) but is also a good actress in her own right.
This casting also confirms the pattern of having very well respected British actors in most of the film's roles.
