The Fall

This game looks very promising to be a good realtime strategy game. I just created this to make a topic for people who have news on its US release.

It was released a year ago in some other countries. From what little I can understand from those idiot foreigners who are so starved for games they'll think anything is good, it kinda sucks ass. Unplayable is a term used quite a bit.
I want to see The Fall released here just to see some people who speak fucking English make sense out of the whole thing.

The German, Spanish and French releases all sucked. The many patches for the German version has supposed to have helped it quite a bit, but the game is no Fallout.

geez, you played the german, french and spanish versions!
The patches for the german version !are! making it better. And you can even beta test that patches.
And SSE never wanted to make it to be Fallout...

I still find the game mildly appealing. Mainly because I actually enjoyed SoA.

Yeah, there's a chance they could make something decent out of it yet. It was released way too early though. The German and English versions have the best chance to be decent.

Impressive, in a twisted and disturbing way.
But the Spanish and French versions were not handled by the same people as the German version. They're missing VO and they won't get the support the other versions will, unless the developers have some spare time and nothing better to do, which is unlikely and not expected of the developers. It was the publisher who fucked up and the fans were outraged by loss of content and patches. Some of the mud still stuck to the developers with that, unfair really. The German version was fucked on release, as evidenced by the constant patches. By this time even the fans of the game are willing to agree it was released too early. The developers themselves name-dropped Fallout, much to the anger of many Fallout fans.
This game is not so good, they might make a good sequel or future game in the same theme.

In my opinion, the German version was almost certainly a beta released for the sake of free testing in the country of its origin (Techland did the same with "Chrome"), hence the recent news of the "new expanded version".
