Passion of the Max... Mad Max!

Post by Europa13 »

<strong>[Film & TV -> Interview]</strong> - More info on <a href="http://wikipocalypse.duckandcover.cx/in ... ?title=Mel Gibson">Person: Mel Gibson</a> | More info on <a href="http://wikipocalypse.duckandcover.cx/in ... ?title=Mad Max 4">Film & TV: Mad Max 4</a>

<p>First things first... According to <a href="http://www.madmaxmovies.com/" target="_self">madmaxmovies</a>, <a href="http://www.msnbc.msn.com/" target="_self">MSNBC</a> posted a snippet regarding <strong>Mel Gibson&rsquo;s</strong> comments during an interview with <a href="http://www.foxnews.com/" target="_self">Fox News</a>, <strong>Sean Hannity</strong>... </p><blockquote dir="ltr" style="margin-right: 0px"><p><em>"March 29 issue - Last week Mel Gibson told Fox News talk-show host Sean Hannity he was interested in filming the story of the Maccabees&mdash;the Jewish liberators whose triumph is celebrated at Chanukah. Could Gibson, whose "Passion of the Christ" has been called anti-Semitic, have been serious? Absolutely, says his publicist, Alan Neirob. "I've heard him talk about this project for years." But Gibson won't be doing it this year&mdash;for one thing, he's making a fourth "Mad Max" movie (the first since 1985), called "Mad Max: Fury Road." "Isn't it funny," one industry source muses. "A month ago, everybody was saying 'The Passion' would hurt Mel's career, and now all anyone wants to know is what he's doing next."</em></p></blockquote><p>Not exactly anything "New" rather simply, new... Does that make sense? Any ways, if <strong>Mel</strong> is tied up this year, then perhaps we'll all be <strong>*insert expletive here*</strong> to a new <strong>Mad Max film</strong> within the next 1-2 years (Concrete confirmation from the man himself)? Aside from that, want to see more of the old, <a href="http://roadwarusa.com/roadwar151/index.htm" target="_self">check this out</a>, which was also posted at <a href="http://roadwarusa.com/" target="_self">roadwarusa</a>... On April the 15th and 16th, <strong>Wez</strong>,<strong> </strong>actor<strong> Vernon Wells</strong>, will be making an appearance in San Antonio, complete with an Apocalyptic car show & the likes... Just check out <a href="http://roadwarusa.com/" target="_self">roadwarsusa</a> for more info.

Fury Road is pretty much dead. Mel already signed for 2 other movies. What sucks is the script is done, sets were built, all the vehicles made, everybody was ready to go. Fury Road was literally a day from filming when the success of Passion ruined it.

Jesus sucks, he killed Mad Max.
Don't hate him because he's beautiful.

Sean Hannity and Fox don't know what they're talking about. Unless Mel Gibson himself says he's doing Mad Max next (and he won't, because he just announced "Under and Alone" for 2006 and "Sam and George" for 2007) then it's still dead. All the stuff that was made is gone, and everybody involved moved on.

Fox *might* be able to persuade Mel back into the movie, seeing as how they were funding it and all. Over $20 million was already dumped into it.

I'm surprised Fox would put that much money into the movie without securing a contract with Gibson to make sure it wouldn't be wasted.
How appropriate. You fight like a cow.

Fox loves Christ and so does Mel... Lately I've been takin screen shots of foxnews.com to show how 1 sided they are religiously.... In God We Trust... If you don't agree with the gov't, then you're against God... It's an ongoing trend which will become our own reality... Can't let that happen, I'll force nukes down their throats even if I have to shit them, if it comes to that. ;)

Why is that surprising? Fox has been throwing money away on anything and everything that would be able to fill broadcast time, quality does not matter (i am not saying that Mad Max is low quality, except 'beyond thunderdome'... ) for Fox....

That is what they want you to think.
There are no 'knowns'. There are thing we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say there are things that we now know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know. So when we do the best we can and we pull all this information together, and we then say well that's basically what we see as the situation, that is really only the known knowns and the known unknowns. And each year, we discover a few more of those unknown unknowns.
