Unit Test Renders
Unit Test Renders
I don't know if these classify as art, but here are some texture test renders I made of the models FTR is making.
This first one is the Brain Bot
This one is the Highwayman
This one is a face test of the Advanced Power Armor
And this last one is the Sec Bot

I like 'em all. The car and brainbot are especially good. My one gripe is the texture on the big heavy robot, it looks like it's carved out of stone or something.
suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. suddenly somebody will say like 'plate' or 'shrimp' or 'plate of shrimp', out of the blue, no explanation.
These are the Models Feel The Rads is creating for the Fallout mod for Civ3 that we are making. He does the modeling and I texture and animate the models for the mod. I was fortunate enough to finally convince him to model the units from the RPG's so we do not have to use the FO:T units as much.Mr. Teatime wrote:Tell us more. Those are pretty nice renders.
@Atoga, this screenie is the size of the unit in civ3. So you can see the texture looks a lot better. As it also is closer to the color from the rpg.

If that is the size they are going to appear as then you have no worries, they look great for the job.
Maybe you could put "Cheers, Thorgrimm" in your sig? That is the whole point of them. Don't forget the punctuation though, as it is wrong otherwise.

Good work! Though I have to say that the brain(texture) inside the brainbot does not really look like a brain... But if you say that they are going to be smaller then it probably doesnt matter that much.

There are no 'knowns'. There are thing we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say there are things that we now know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know. So when we do the best we can and we pull all this information together, and we then say well that's basically what we see as the situation, that is really only the known knowns and the known unknowns. And each year, we discover a few more of those unknown unknowns.
I liked the brainbot, but the brain texture lets it down, but as it is going to be very small on screen, it won't be a problem.
