The Fall patched

Post by Mr. Teatime »

<strong>[Game -> Update]</strong> - More info on <a href="http://wikipocalypse.duckandcover.cx/in ... ?title=The Fall: Last Days of Gaia">Game: The Fall: Last Days of Gaia</a>

<p><a href="http://www.rpgdot.com" target="_self">RPGDot</a> are reporting The Fall has been <a target="_blank" href="http://www.3dgamers.com/news/more/10964 ... patched</a> to version 1.8:</p>
<p>
</p><blockquote><em>This
huge 232Mb file adds "two new maps with new quests and NPCs, new
textures, a new music track, extensive gameplay balance tweaks,
performance enhancements, bug fixes, and more".</em></blockquote>
<p> </p>
<blockquote>
</blockquote>
<p>It sounds like a lot of extra content. That's either good because it
extends the game, or bad because the stuff should have been in the game
in the first place.
</p>

The fact that they've gone to 1.8 is even worse - that's shoddy programming. Enough said.

I think even a fanboy by this point will have to admit that this is closer to developing the game after it is released, than patching minor problems found in a finished game.

Heh, at least they're able to patch it, unlike certain other developers that sign up with certain publisher houses.

232MB must be some kind of record.
Serious Business.

I think HL2 beats it.
