watched it tonight on tv, fairly good bar some nasty fake polish accents from the likes of David Schwimmer and Hank Azaria

I heard it sucks, but every time I see it at the video store I wonder if I should rent it or not. Worth the 4 bucks?

its worth the four bucks for a sunday evening.
the burning hug was quite interesting, must try that sometime.

A good story is told how Warsaw Jews defy the Natzis, but it is all too simplistic and frought with inaccuracies. All the Jews are young and handsome while Poles are plain looking middle aged people with tattered clothing ,unwashed,and with bad teeth. They also are all indiifferent to the plight of the Jews , and will only help if given money or threatened by the courageous and noble Jews. Poles on thother hand are just voka swilling mercenaries.

Thats one grave error you won't sneak past my radar.
At least they got the Polacks right.

i quite like polish people, but if you examine the cast a little more, it is a jewish film. The polish people including polish jews faught and died in the uprising but this was based on one group of specific rebels.. not the entire polish bodycount. If the film had been polish made i assume it would be a lot more accurate.

I can definetly say the same for any film recently made which is supposedly historical. Nevertheless, it's entertainment value is quite good.
