The design of the Templar class was a challenge from the beginning.
It's one of those things where I had a good idea in my head what he
should feel like, but I was having trouble coming up with the
specifics. I knew that the Templar were supposed to feel like
modern-day (or near-future) knights. But they couldn't feel archaic;
they had to feel bad-assed to a modern audience. We knew that there was
the potential risk that the design could be either too fantasy-looking
or too generically sci-fi. The whole design process was a delicate
balancing act between these two extremes.

Surely just copy the paladin class that they did in Diablo 2, since the class comes across as pretty similar?

Spotted @ RPG Codex

You're right, the class abilities, and class in itself should be easy enough.

But we don't know wether or not they're talking, or commenting underway bad-ass like, like The Duke or Serious Sam...

It might be the story behind the character that's hard for them to decide.

Personally, I don't see a problem with an archaic wannabe holy knight, "smiting" away. I think it'd be funny as hell watching this guy think he's in the medieval times. Maybe he knows it, maybe not.

That would be the beauty of it...
Taking reality as a joke.

I wonder if there are other classes?
Sure sounds like it, anyway... I wonder when we'll get more specifics.

For some reason all kinds of developers are keeping there games secret up until the last second...
(Prey, Hellgate, Spore, etc)

That kind of ruins it for me, because I don't have a fucking clue which is what and why, which doesn't give me much reason to buy them other than:
"Woooo, that vid looks sweeeetz0r! It's going to be the zing of my zang man!"

gameplay could be shite for all we know >=/

EDIT:

Okayer just read some of it for myself. I had no idea he was talking about the ART, and DESIGN of the appearance of the character..!

I think it looks grand as it is now. No problems there, hi-tech knight of desctruction all the way man
