BF2demo - can't make an account

sth is wrong - no matter how many times I try to make a multiplayer account, I get the "the server refused to create an account" message :chainsaw: WTF?

Yes I set my firewall at 'permit' for the demo.

Anyway, I can't also play America's Army - it won't log me in nor show servers, so maybe it's some general issue.
I used to play AA over a year ago with no problems, now I reactivated my account and I can log in at the AA website with my password (I even changed it with no problem), so beats me what's wrong now.

Anybody's got a clue?

i had a problem making an account with bf2demo and real game. You have to make an account for it in the log screen, its a pain in teh ass process. It will keep telling you that name is invalid or already taken then it exits you out of the login.

It may be due to all the server problems they've been having with the recent upgrades.

first things first, thanks for answering my shitty question.
"log screen"? when I enter the demo I choose "manage accounts", "singleplayer" and "create new account" (or that's how I remember it), and then the shit happens. if that's not the way to do it, what is? (I mean is "log screen" sth else from what I tried?)

I can't see why it would. Anyhow, I made a new account and same shit: I can log in at the website but not in the game :chainsaw:

OK I know what's wrong. I thought maybe some ports are blocked on the server or something so I contacted LAN's admin (I've moved to a new place a week ago). Turns out I need proxy setting which he's going to send. I know it may sound stupid, but I've never had to fill in any "proxy settings" in the past, it's been always enough to just mark "LAN/cable". Silly me.

That will possibly fix the AArmy problem, but I'm still sceptical about BF2 account making.
