Can forcefields be taken out by the trap skill? And arent mirrored sunglasses supposed to give you +1 charisma?

I believe that you can use explosives to knock out force fields.
The glasses give you 1+ to charisma if you have them in the active slot.

Any other way to knock out forcefields as I hate having my arse kicked by robot guards.

Use the repair skill on the amplifier(thats what I think it is called anyways) on the doorway.

Only if the forcefield is yellow. The red ones you can walk thru, but take damage. 8)

Actually, no, you can't. Which is why I strongly recommend leaving the green/yellow (I always thought they were green... but I'm somewhat colour blind) ones up.
