"666" by Aphrodite's Child is awesome. And it's not heavy metal; it's strictly psychedelic. Vangelis (y'know, Chariots of Fire?) is also involved. And, to top it off, it's Greek.
Otherwise, any rock music involving "666" sucks.

I stumbled on this one a little late, but Aphrodite's Child most certainly is cool, and Vangelis, having singlehandedly done the Bladerunner soundtrack, is even more so. To top it off, he allegedly collaborated with Jon Anderson on Olias of Sunhillow, which is a fantastic album and a total trip. He almost became a member of Yes, which makes me wonder, what if.

Yes wouldn't have been Yes, then.

Satanism, the anti-cool.

Well no, as he almost joined up only after the band had already achieved it's success and record most of it's classics.
And it's not like there hasn't been enough people leaving and joining Yes.
(Need I remind you that Peter Banks and that other dude where there before Howe and Wakeman?)

Today, cool guys pretend to be nazis, of course.

Well, at least I confine my 'anti-cool behavior' to this society in stead of flaunting it like these pathetic satanist losers do.
Unlike satanism, nazism relates to reality. Imo, genuinly exhibiting controversial political ideas isn't by far as half-assed as is pretending you worship satan. So even if i were a nazi, it wouldn't make me half the moron these people are for tattooing satanic symbols on their shoulders.

Can you be certain that they are pretending ? Belief is a fickle thing.

Jesus and Satan is so kindergarten. Like Santa. Grown-ups tend to like more complex stories from masters like Goebbels, Hilter, Stalin, Mao zedung or Mr W.

Ach no. Satanism is all about image, not true beliefs. I'm sure some actually practice satanic rituals and worship the devil, but that too is just an expression of their self-love or their ambition to achieve a certain reputation among the people. the allegedly religious cause of their pretentious way of life in fact is just a subordinate means of acquiring what they truely aspire....and accomplish quite well......attention.

Of course,
truly evil souls would surrender themselves to The Great Old Ones. CTHULHU FHTAGN ! Ehuehuehue.
All ? Entirely ? No exceptions ? Are you certain you've not confused Satanism with Wicca ? Ohohoho.
So, you've been inside the minds of those misguided twits suckling at Satan's blistered, bleeding bosom ? Divined their true motivations, dispelled the pretension and alleviated that troublesome, angsty narcissism. Wonderful.
I suppose we could generalise 'til the cows FUCKING DIE about <a flavour of the month subculture masquerading as religion, OR IS IT !?! here> - wouldn't accomplish much of note, concrete or otherwise, however.
Ah, speculation : a muse to kill for.
You (appear to*) maintain they're all fuckwits. I concur, with one slight difference ? : Some (ahahaha) of them may (ahahahahah) be delusional fuckwits. Maybe. Perhaps. Delusion, after all, is real enough for the bearer. If one is quick, it can extend to others.
The potential to believe something that is simultaneously false and true exists.
In the end, I'd rather have a sandwich.

Unless the paint thinner is lying to me, again.

I have to agree with you, I don't think Vangelis would have changed things any more radically than Patrick Moraz did - I tend to think they're both atleast somewhat similar. The only thing that could have (and did) change Yes would be either Jon Anderson or Chris Squire leaving the band for a time, giving that moron Trevor Horn a chance to jump in and ruin the band's name.

Satanism is pretty funny - 'o ho ho' - how I laugh sometimes.
1) One faction drones on and on about primortial instinct and animalism and denies all connection with satan; They're basicly new-age furries that dress in black trenchcoats and have vegan ideals. Some of them also practice feng shui.
What?! Feng shui hates black and darkness, it needs to be roomy and pink. And how the hell are they devil worshippers anyway? Oh well, if it was Soviet Russia they'd lock those people up for being morons, or sell them into slavery in Azerbadjan.
2) Then there's people who practice voodoo. They drink snake piss and kill cats and shit, and drown their grandmother when there's a full moon out. It's just voodoo really, rewritten in black books with devilsigns and in old shrifts´. So its mostly african-americanism. Good going congoids.
3) Excluding confused goths, we might have some real devil worshippers somwhere, but they're getting fucked basicly. They serve their lord, somehow, I dunno, and the reward is an eternity of torture and pain in hell.
Satan is a real moron, I don't know how he stays in business. Sinners should free drinks and weapons training while in hell, so that he can finally amass that army everyone's talking about, but oh no. He breaks their spirits and boils them in urine. Good going Einstein.

I was under the impression that said army would be composed of angels that were cast out alongside Satan, and serve as his gophers and what-have-you.
