Decide My Future
School is hard and I always struggle. A hot girl at work that I liked, left. Work is going to be hell during the holidays, since a lot of our experienced part time people left. Also, my dog doesn't have a lot longer to live.

Kill yourself.
Do it slowly, and painfully...
Drop yourself into a meatgrinder.. mmm... the slow grinding your bones and meat... which will then get vacuum-packed and sent off for people to eat.
Or nail yourself to a cross, after puncturing both your lungs, and your genitals. Die a slow death.. preferably at your church.
Or go to where that girl lives, and ring the door. When she answers, blow your brains out all over her.

That would hinge upon how one chooses to interpret 'failure'. As you have chosen. Obviously and technically, if it leaves the person in question dead, (rather than, for example, dying slowly from drug induced liver failure some time after the intended moment, or being rendered vegetative through massive bullet induced brain damage) then it could be said (however vaguely) to be a 'successful*' suicide. As I'm sure you are aware, my post did not refer to that particular level of the deed.Aonaran wrote:Arguably suicide isn't always a failure.
At the risk of being rather blunt, your comment appears to be lacking of point.Aonaran wrote:Not that i'm suggesting that if Scooper kills himself it would be some great victory for him
If suicide can be a glowing triumph, yet it isn't so in this instance, where is the relevance ?
It is the decision to resign that defines the act and causes it to be so lamentable. A will to survive is an integral part of any natural intelligence, the abandonment of that tenacity is woeful.
Bah.

*Oooh, that was politically incorrect ! Replace 'successful' with 'completed' if that sort of emotional detritus bothers you. Or don't. Or do.
I wouldn't consider HST's suicide failure, I think that would be my example. Think that was his final fuck you was that he chose when he could go, wouldn't let anything not even god or fate choose it for him. Also he went at a height of happiness rather than allowing himself to wallow in slow death leaving behind with his loved ones poor memories of his decline as well as the burden of staving off the innevitable. As soon as he felt a decline come on, even though his life with his young wife and relations with his son were at a peak he chose death. His son even went so far as to say he could not have been prouder of his father. A tenacious end to a tenacious man.
my vocabulary skills is above you.
