Forlorn World announced
[ Game -> Update ] - More info on Game: Forlorn World

Forlorn
World, a Polish indie post-nuclear cRPG has been
announced. The game is not new - it's a fusion of two previously
unrelated projects - Trinity and Polish
Wasteland.
Trinity was set in Poland during a nuclear winter,
while Polish Wasteland was initially a
Fallout 2 mod, and later an entirely new game, set
in Fallout-like wasteland, in an alternate future
where communism in Poland never ended, just like the 50s never seem to
have ended in Fallout. As a fusion of those two,
Forlorn World takes place in Poland where communism
ended only with the nuclear war, but during a nuclear winter.
Forlorn World is in the tech-demo phase, and first screenshots will be ready soon.
The features are supposed to be:
- about 20 locations in a fully 3D world
- non-linear, developed plot
- lots of party interaction, including relationships and conflicts
- an advanced physics engine
- realistic active pause combat system
- day/night cycles, dynamic shadows and lighting
- vehicles and modifiable weapons
I was fairly interested until the "active pause" bit.

You can see some Forlorn World concept art in our gallery.

Considering no game has never fully succeeded in this, it's a BIG promise.- non-linear, developed plot
- dynamic world
How can pauses in combat be realistic?- realistic active pause combat system
The rest is just standard BG crap. The post-apocalyptic Poland during a nuclear winter theme is a mystery, so I'll just have to wait until I see a demo or screenshots to bash some more.- about 20 locations in a fully 3D world
- lots of party interaction, including relationships and conflicts
- day/night cycles, dynamic shadows and lighting
- vehicles and modifiable weapons
- an advanced physics engine
The website is in Polish. I'd like to know in what language the game is?
