My buddy Syd has way too much time on his hands. When he's not drawing the same stupid anime-esq red heads over and over and over and over, he makes some nice little stop motion videos.
They're not mine, but my arm and head are in a few shots for at least one or two of the videos.

The Nonnutrative Sweetner, Loneliest Clone, and Licorice ones are the best...In that order.
The shitty thing is that you need the newest QuickTime to play them. They won't play in 6.0, or QuickTime Alternative....Unfortunately.
It's inspired me to get my camera going, and I'll make a nice little video sometime soon.

So you think the world is a better place after these videos?
I didn't have the newest QuickTime and could watch them, but yeah, weird stuff.

Yes worksafe.
And Damn you, VasikkA...I had to get the newest version before they would play. They used to play and then quit...Had to update to get them to work again.

I'll do better next time, I promise....It'll have a point, and I doubt my arm will be in it.

The camera is all wrong, unless you went for an artistic angle.

He's eating the grass of the lush fields of political incorrectness with this one. Good job. How long does it take to shoot such a movie? I assume postproduction takes a long time; to make special effects and get the music to synch etc.

For an average 5 minute thing, it's about 3700 photographs. Takes about 20 seconds to set up each photograph. Most of his videos are made over the course of about 5 hours. Then the video is thrown together edited, "effected" and synced to music in about an hour. That's the easy part. Took me roughly 10 minutes to make my 7 Second "test.avi." I plan to get my camera nice and charged, get some cheap toys, and make my own real stop motion within the next month or so...If I get the gumption.
Syd's last video just reminded me of The Sims II movie thing.
