How serious do you take school?
I'm perplexed. I try to take school serious cause I HAVE to have it to be succesful but some of the shit is so gay A lot of my classes have readings, lectures, and exams. They lecture a small fraction of the book but they require you to know shit from the whole book and I'm the type of kid who always thought reading=no homework. I'm in classes now that reading is basically everything. Now with some classes I can deal with it but then there is pyschology which has a book the width of a big mac. She wants us to read the sections but 2 days before the test she will make a test review of all the stuff that you need to know for the exam.
Anyone see a problem with just studying the parts that are going to be on the exam instead of reading the whole fucking chapters?
I hate school but what else would I do?

If you care about the subject, read the whole book and go to every lecture. Take advantage of the time and learn as much as you can. If you don't care, just do the minimum to get by.
Regardless, go to every class drunk, tripping, and/or tweaking. It's good 'fucked up in public' training. You'll thank me later.

Good advice, you'll notice that I left out the second half of the quote. The second part was bad advice.baby arm wrote:If you care about the subject, read the whole book and go to every lecture. It all boils down to this. Are you going to continue studying the subject later? Are you ever going to need the subject for future career plans? If you answered no to the preceding questions than it is OK to just float, otherwise you had better study your ass off.

I'm ... not really trying. It's only 25% of my final grade. I'm no good at maths. That's not much, right?

That 25% could be the difference between McDicks and Prim Minister of the Universe.

Prim Minister is an oft ignored and highly underrated job, I'm told.
