kind of, postapoc
Nice atmosphere to the trailer though, i like it when the woman screams and a single shot is heard.
i was unaware of that they were making a futuristic battlefield sequel, so im kinda surprised.

Its looks kinda cool but usually when you go into the future you got the stereotypical balls of light that cause big explosions but end up being really lame. Quake Wars will probably be better but this looks fun enough. DICE pops out these games and shit really quick and they usually are bug filled games, I expect no different from Battlefield 2419.

I saw that this morning and was kind of excited. Might be something to fill the gap Mechwarrior left behind.

I was wondering as well, when I saw this BF had Mechs in it.
Will there be a new MechWarrior or MechCommander game in the near future?

No. Trademarks and intellectual property, hissing, disputes, and the absence of quintessential, iconic aspects equates to 'no', or at the most 'no, but we do have a fun new <oh so CLEVAR violation(s) conceptual/spiritual> and/or
Gundam game for you easily satisfied, inbred fuckwits. It has SHINNY GRAFIX and BUTTENZ and EKSPLOSHUNS ! You'll love* it !'.
'No' in any meaningful sense. Irritating.

Wiz Kids officially owns the property to battletech and well....they kinda dumbed it down to a point where its stupid, so I wouldn't count any quality Mechwarrior games for awhile, unless "Mechwarrior: The Dark Age" is your thing. They seem perfectly happy pumping out "Clix" minis anyways.

I liked Mech Commander, Mech Warrior IV and Mercenaries.
"Mechwarrior: The Dark Age" is supposed to be a "tabletop" according to Google? I'm not into those things. And what's a "Clix"?

It's not a "Board game" in the traditional sense, it's kinda like Magic:The Gathering, but instead of cards, you have little miniatures. The Clix system works on the idea that the base of the mini has these little numbers that represent shit and everytime you take a hit or something you click to represent damage. something like that anyways.
The older versions of Battletech were much better.

It looks more like a futuristic mod to Battlefield 2. I rather play Gearhead.
By the way, what the fuck has happened to
Underdogs? And the
Codex?

Huh, a Battlefield game I may actually play. And it would be awful nice to start using that evil-minded strategist part of my brain that the Battletech universe always inspired again.

I miss Battletech. God I'm still pissed I never picked up mercenaries.
