I did an oil painting of the picaninny watermelon guy

It's only a little bigger than a postcard. I know some parts are also a little off, but for a first time painting I like it.

I'm doing another one, this time for college as a final piece for the project 'Self'

Looking at it now I can see the torn skin needs to be more vibrant and longer and more in line with his smile.

I didn't know he was black. Kinda thought he'd be blue. You know, breeding and all. Now I'm not saying there's anything wrong with being black, just that I didn't think he'd be black, is all.

One of his hands should be squeezing her tit too. Just for laugh, you know? Not because he's black or anything.
