History of the System Wars, part 1
[ Community -> Editorial ] - More info on Game: Fallout 3
DAC has been without new content for a while. This story, this epic story, details the History of the System Wars. It is but a small piece of the history, somewhat dumbed down and condensed so that those over at the Elder Scrolls forum could read it. It was posted over there as a testimony to our will, and here as a tribute to those that were lost. Please, read their story.

Maybe we should all put in our pasts, leading us to DaC and us joining the fight.
The hard ships that brought us here, and the hard ships we still face.
Maybe it would improve the moral of the men?

That just made no sense at all.
Black Isle Studios was in no way a 100% integer artist studio. They worked for money and money they made, through pumping out AD&D half-hack-n-slash-quasi-CRPGs. That's not art.
And if Oblivion is just Diablo in first person, how is that console's fault, since Diablo is very much so a PC-specific item?
Is that last bit supposed to lick up the flaky bits out of Bethsoft's anus? It sure looks that way. But still, we can use some positive sounds about Fallout 3 beyond the "Oblivion with guns is the rock" argument.

That would be boring, Vas. But then again, the internet is serious business.
Plus it would further make us all look like geeks, even moreso than the faux classic style of the above piece. If we continue this way the TES fanboys will beat us up and take our lunchmoney.

TES forum is a useless medium anyway so why even try? So a few TES fans and moderators got upset. How is that helping anyone?
As the hardcore politi-fags would say, its all about visibility.
The TES boards are like an automatic spam machine.
No outside help is needed.
But in theory it is fun to think of flooding them with crap.
But even a heavy duty crap flood will be on page 3 in 20 minutes.
what to do what to do what to do...

they know...
and I am sure they dread...
when the FO3 boards open, the TES fanbois will be out of their element.
Fallout cultists who act like they own the game will dominate.
much fun
much fun

Is this better Kharn?
The “spam the TES forum campaign in our holly war on TES may be futile...
But it's fun!
The crusade of RPG enlightenment will not be decided on the outcome of the “spam the TES forum campaign alone, that part is just a moral booster for the troops.

Well, personally I don't read the Escapist, and from a glance at pagerankings it doesn't seem much more than twice as big as NMA in visitors. Page rankings can suck, tho'
As for "spam the forums"...that never worked on BIS, I doubt it will on BethSoft. I guess it is fun, though...

Did I say it was supposed to make sense?

'cept BIS actually implemented some things that were strongly suggested on the forums.
I personally got feedback in a way once:
there was a thread on the really old FO2 forums- before ID verification was required- people were just so trusting back then...
It was a thread on drugs in the game...
I made a list of stuff, one of which was "Redeye", a drug that would temporarily activate the "see in the dark" useless perk...
one of the devs not assigned to watching the board said it was his fav...
(because of the way I gave the description.)
twas "kewl"...
It was fun fucking with Dave Handee back in the day...
At least he made it into FO2.
Also, implementation of 3.0ish D&D rules in IWD2 was influenced by input from board posters...
not that I care for that crap, but it was a characteristic of old interplay...
they were WITH us...
even the "worm game" had an old Wasteland guy working..
never again...
