And in multiplayer, you can't really squash another stalker with a huge concrete block: that is, you kill him, but no dismemberment or gory deaths, no sirre. THQ is damn serious about killing your friends on the net: you can do that, but VERY courteously.

GSC Game World sends along the latest release date for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, the frequently delayed first-person shooter that was originally planned for release in early 2003 under the title S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Oblivion Lost. Word is:

GSC Game World officially confirms the release date of the long-awaited S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl Survival FPS as fixed for Q1 2007. Further release details are expected later.
2003 --> 2007 and in that time, they've removed everything that would've made the game worth playing.
