Where can I preorder a PS3?
These are gonna be very limited on release. I want to buy one to sell on ebay for lots of money. I can't find anywhere to preorder one though (in the US/Canada), that will ship to the UK - anyone know somewhere that I can do this? Thanks

when the 360 came out people were selling them on ebay for at least $700, so its worth a shot i guess.

I'd like to see the face of the moron that pays 700 dollars for a console (actually, I heard that PS3 is going to cost 420 pounds in the UK, so isn't that about the same price? No calculator here, I'm at an internet cafe and I cannot do any math in my head ¬¬).Megatron wrote:http://play.com/Games/PlayStation3/4-/1 ... chsource=0 ?

Anyway Teatime, I doubt that they would allow you to preorder in Europe if they are not going to market them here until the next year ;/

420 Britpounds is about $800 US.
No Fucking Way is a PS3 going to cost that much in the US, so smuggling should be very profitable.
Like 100% profit including trans-atlantic shipping.
Edit:
Plus mark up over the 420 Pound price. So add +50% profit or more on top. So you could get a free one and at least 210 pound in your pocket.
Good idea Teatime.

Its like the idiots who import their systems from Japan without knowing any japanese, its for the novalty factor of having the first system or just saying that they actually have it.
I heard that PS3 will be region free but that still wont make up for the power imput stuff in europe, it only works for CDs/DVDs.
edit: Redeye beat me to it even though she posted before me.

You mean voltage/etc.? Just use a transformer. I lived in Germany(West) for 4 years in the 70's, and we just used our US appliances with transformers.
(Plus some local stuff, especially shit like lamps.)
Or NTSC/PAL?
Problem, there.

Oh, i miss read your previous post that said "currency converter" I thought you meant it converts electric current for US stuff on European power outlets. Then I thought you said it cost $800.
Ps3 should be able to hand NTSC/PAL if the developers take it into consideration. I know I sound like a genius but I just got that from your IGN article to linked.

Still due to be released this christmas, right?Koki wrote:Moot, as PS3 launch got moved further down on the Arrow of Time, so nobody will give a shit when you finally get it.

I've never had a console and even though I come from a fairly rich family, I still cannot imagine someone spending such an amount of money on a console.
Anyway, how much will it cost in the U.S.? Haven't they announced the price yet?

Ok was just reading around and PS3 will be released in
Amercia: 17 November
Japan: 11 November
Europe: March 2007
Won't bother quoting the source since it's in Estonian.
So I guess that this venture could turn out to be very profitable indeed, if you managed to get hold of one as soon as it comes out.
