The North American (Strategy First) version doesn't have Starforce. You don't even need the disc in the drive to play.

It looks like shit, yes, but the combat kicks ass. Easily the best RTwP combat i've seen, although that may not be saying much to many. Get it for the combat and gun porn, but don't bother if you're looking for an RPG with decent dialogue and quests.

Shitty dialogue, even crappier quests. The main story works as if it wasn't there to begin with.

The combat and the controls are a bit akward.

It seems to crash every time there's a random encounter on the world map, yippee!

The graphics are otherwise fine, but the map design is pretty poor... Houses are scattered all over the place, you have to run to each and every house (most of houses are not accessible) that holds any importance and then look for any important characters inside. You can tell who is important and who isn't by looking at the name: if it's anything else than male/female resident or sentry/guard it's important.
