Hojima considers himself a director(maybe just literally like project director but he always consider his games like movies) so he will probably make it but it would have to be a CGI movie cause he doesn't have experience with anything else? Shit he already has a graphics engine(mgs4).


If it's going to be a movie with live actors and action I don't think he would be able to direct it if he wanted, even if he could do a good job, since he has no experience in the film industry and no production company would hire him. AAA games generally cost like 20 million I guess and to make a movie with the type of action that the game represents would push the budget of the movie to 100-150mil at least. Thats too much money to give to a first time director.

Walt so stole this from me. Regardless. I want to see sexy ninja action with robot wars at the end.

Actually the more that I think about it the more the third Metal Gear game could be a ploy by Kojima to get Kurt Russel, from whom the character was based (Escape from New York) to play in the live action film. I mean he IS something of an old bastard these days.

On the note of Kurt Russel being an aging badass, Tarintino's "Death Proof" is going to be the screaming Jesus shit, fuck Robert Rodriquez though.
