The Fall -> Scarface

Post by Kashluk »

So, anyone of you guys played it yet?

I d-loaded a German version & installed an English mod... Speech is auf Deutsch still, but at least I can read English subtitles.

Anyways the game is pretty crappy. Kinda like Brigade E5 except with even crappier controls. Does it get any better after the first two locations?

Aww shite. Yet another quick un-installation up ahead, then. I guess I'll try Scarface next.

When I first started THE FALL it looked promising, besides the uber-gay intro.
After I played it for a while (I really forced myself in the belief that it's gonna turn into a good game) I figured out that the Intro was actually pretty good compared to the rest of the game.

Scarface's been pretty good so far, actually. It's like an upgraded version of Vice City.

uh? vice city is already pretty much scarface: the game. all of the areas shown in the movie are recreated somewhere in vice city. when you're done, kashluk, tell me if it was thoroughly satisfying experience, i'm always looking for good gta ripoffs :chick:

now playing: call of kthulhu - dark corners of the earth
suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. suddenly somebody will say like 'plate' or 'shrimp' or 'plate of shrimp', out of the blue, no explanation.

I'm about half-way through or something? I dunno. Selling cocaine and killing gang's is fun stuff + pimping the mansion is fun chit too.

And you actually have some henchmen in this game, something which I really thought was missing from GTA:VC.

Yeah, I'm flying around the islands right now... It gets a whole lot harder when you got those trucks with machine guns after you while you try to run your enterprise (buying dozens of kilos of coke, weee :chick: & distributing it around schools FTW ).

Playing Scarface right now, it's pretty golden, but it totally needs a patch so that one can kill the annoying "civilians", even running over those negroes with a car doesn't kill them tuff motherfuckers. Also, where are ze children?
Can I make Tony snort some coke so he'll become rage, destroyer of conós or sth?

And, how can I edit my keyboard configuration? I tried Enter, hitting the button I want it to use and all the other keys on keyboard and mouse, but to no effect.

Make sure you're in the KEYBOARD configuration not in the CONTROLLER configuration, hombre.

It's not too big of an issue actually, still I like my configs standardized so I don't get confused when playing other games, efficiency, you know. :chick:

Maybe you should buy an XBOX controller. Efficiency, you know.

Been playing Scarface (the PS2 version) on and off for a while. Pretty alright game. Just finished acquiring all the fronts in the last part of the city (North Something) and am currently doing some missions on The Islands (just about to attack some villain's top secret island hideout). That, and dealing coke on a large scale. Reached reputation level 8 pretty early on, so I'm rolling in dough.

Thor: If you want to kill civilians, just play as one of your henchmen (driver/assassin/enforcer). They don't have any of Tony's inhibitions.

Not really, I dig wasd + mouse for shooters, it's nice and precise.

How can I play as one of my henchmen, Nico?

Assuming that you've already purchased at least one henchman: open the DO STUFF* menu and select Empire -> Business. There will be ~3 icons below the mission list. One for each henchman. You'll figure out the rest.

*The one where you can choose to call your driver, buy weapons, select music, etc.
