my friend needs some help with music software and there are sum music men here so mabye, answer please.

He has altered states and wants to plug-in it into acid 6.0 or cubase or both mabye. And he also has a kaos pad or something that he wants to plug-in to acid or cubase, but thats hardware. and i dont know anything about the software anyway so, is it even POSSIBLE.

i didn't really understand either so here is the full true story. I dont know much jargon so i just guessed.

He has a program called altered states which is like, a sequencer i guess with a billion samples or some shit. Anyway he wants that into acid/cubase or something? I didn't really understand. I think he wants access to all the samples in acid/cubase, but I wasn't sure. I don't see why he can't just make something in altered states, save it, then open it in cubase. But perhaps he wants to intergrate them into 1, i dunno.

Second thing is this kaoss pad thingy made by korg. You run stuff through it then can fuck about with it by pressing stuff on the screen. It's just connected by a usb to his laptop. Anyway he also wants to put shit through cubase/acid and be able to fuck about with it on the pad. I plugged it in but couldnt work out how to associate files with the...sample buttons? Or even put anything through the pad to fuck with it. I think he needs an SD card though, but we'll see eh.
