2007 - The year of MMORPGS :copycat innovation:

Post by DaC-Sniper »

There is only one MMO, which i think will turn out to be good, but i may be wrong on this one:

Age of Conan

Sounds very promising so far, i´ll probably play it, after its release, i just can hope that the costs are lesser than WoW, so they are a bigger competition and when they see, its cheaper, then WoW needs to be cheaper as well, and... Capitalism and so on, ya know how it works. D:

+Blood, Dark Atmosphere, Blood, Conan, RPG, Action, Blood.

Also i am looking forward to:

Guild Wars 2

its like a free MMO, well, i think it is free, havent read much about it, but the other Guild Wars games were pretty alrighto. The setting is maybe too overused for 2007 or like overused forever.

Since those Guild Wars guys have much experience and work very good with the community, it may turn out pretty well.

Year 2007 will also cost me a new PC :pelvic_thrust:
I hope its worth...

I buy a new computer every year.

Also, get fucked with this bullshit. Seriously... as if there wouldn't be enough 'LOL I'M 34 YEARS OLD AND STILL VIRGIN WITH NO RL' games.

Yeah, I've been keeping tabs on Age of Conan for a while. It's good to have a modern Conan production that stays somewhat true to Robert E. Howard's works.

Sounds interesting, what with it's interactive fighting, magic system, and amongst other things what seems to be a realistic combat experience(Well, as real as you get with magic n'stuff.) in the sense that if you cop an arrow in the eye, you're going to do more than lose 5hp.

Oh yeah, and there's oodles of blood.

Punching someone's upper head off is only realistic if you are Dreadnought.

Just got back from a kickin' blues gig. A really drunk old woman was dancing with a chair. She lifted it above her head and it hit the industrial ceiling fan which smacked the chair down on her head, making her fall over.

Then she tried to get a guy paralyzed from the waist down to dance with her, and pulled him out of his wheelchair onto the floor.

It was pretty cool.

Yes it does. Now leave.

Also, what is a MMORPG?
There are no 'knowns'. There are thing we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say there are things that we now know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know. So when we do the best we can and we pull all this information together, and we then say well that's basically what we see as the situation, that is really only the known knowns and the known unknowns. And each year, we discover a few more of those unknown unknowns.

mmos can be fun if you have friends to play with and such, but i think they lose their appeal pretty quickly. unless youre a hardcore rper or someone who actually enjoys grinding, theyre pretty lamo

I play Auto Assault, that's fun simply for the fact I can blow shit up. It's buggy though. Once Warhammer comes out I'll probably drop it for that.
