They have absolutely nothing in common, except maybe, that there are no topics about them.

C&C 3 -

Bought this yesterday, gave it a whirl.. and regarding the HD videos:

It is indeed geek-fanservice..

Gameplay is alright, some interesting missions, but I get the feeling that there aren't many of them. I flipped over the gamebox, and it says "More than 35 missions!".... ehh, okay? weren't there like more than 35 per faction in the older ones, or am I just *really* nostalgic?

Anyway, the third Race; the Scrinn are pretty nifty, but they really lack difference in design as well as sounds to identfy them by.. as most games with alien races(and all units in Supreme commander) you quickly loose control over what units do what, since they all look and sound the same =/
But they do have some strategic redeeming qualities. (mothership LOL)

A fair buy.

As for GOWII, has anyone tried it yet? it's not out here in Denmark yet =(((((((((((

C&C3 is Generals with more bloom. Which means that it's complete shit and the fact it's getting higher notes than SupCom is a testament to viability of reviewers worldwide.

Second thing, CAD sucks. Really sucks. Not as much as, let's say, God Mode, but it still sucks pretty badly.

Third thing, just torrent the GoW.

Generals was warcraft with guns.
C&C3 is actually C&C.

Multiplayer in C&C3 is alright imo, there's a severe lack of maps, and random map feature though, but it's easy to get started and games don't last longer than nescessary.

I'm going to put this up against SupCom, because you can spend literally hours there, not getting anywhere =/

I can't torrent GOW, I don't have a burner =(

And as for CAD, it fulfills its purpose; it humors me. Webcomics don't have to be PBF to be funny.

you don't need a burner if your hd is big enough. It's quite some time, since I last burned something, also many of my DVDs seem to be broken after a year or so, anyway. >:(
Just play the images with Daemon Tools

GOW2 is for PS2, afaik.
Unless you know of a working PS2 emulator.

Does any of the mentioned games have a function to make infantry rape female civilians to get HP back?

If not -> BORING!

GOW2 looks like more of the same from all the talk and screenshots. I never played the original, never really had any intent to, looked like a typical button masher with mini-game boss battles.

they make CC for consoles now? I shouldn't be surprised

Also, I doubt current hardware would be able to fluently emulate PS2

Well, combo moves and weapon development were a part of GOW as well.

PCSX2 works well for some games.

C&C3, while fun is felt pretty generic and had bearly enough innovation to keep interesting. Havn't finished GDI yet, but the Nod ended with a "er... is that the end" moment when I watched a cutscene then got returned to the main menu.
