Someone go see it and tell me if it's any good. I'm expecting it to be cliche and not as good as the first one.

I'm expecting to see it this weekend. It looks pretty good to me. I hope anyway, zombie movies rock in general.

The reviews are not so good, apparently it's gone very Hollywood and lost the charm that made the original a cult classic.

I thought it was decent, it's pretty cliche and has no real ending either but thats the type of movie. It's been awhile since I saw the first one but I think that one was probably better.
The beginning was pretty good.

I haven't seen the first one for a while but I remember it being yet another low budget British zombie movie and thinking it was OK at best. I probably won't see it considering I don't watch many movies anymore unless it's about truly interesting historical figures.

I never saw the first.
Personaly, Id see about ANY movie that didht have the 'hollywood touch' while at the same time being some gay indie film that had a political point to shove up your ass.

Just a random question: do you consider Tony Montana a historical figure?

Original was really good in the first half, but got stupid towards the end. I don't recall the ending clearly but I remember the political-correctness really grated.
Not expecting much from the new one. It'll be worth a torrent.

The first one really lost steam toward the end, although the plot twist re: the army guys could have been done well. And then Cillian Murphy turned all bad-ass which I didn't buy for a second.
I still liked the Dawn of the Dead remake better.

I just saw it. Don't waste your time. It sucked. All of the characters lacked common sense. The important plot twists were based on incredible character stupidity. A character would do some thing incredibly stupid and something bad would always happen. The catalyst for the zombies' return was based on such an idiotic and unbelievable set of circumstances caused by the main characters that I really didn't care whether or not they died because they were fucking idiots! None of this is a spoiler at all as the movie can be pretty much predicted from either the trailer or within the first fifteen minutes of the movie.
Honestly, I spent more time wondering how these people can be so stupid than I did being frightened by sudden zombie attacks. The movie is also an empty tour of London. There is way too much time spent on footage of empty streets and empty parks and empty this and empty that. I know the original had alot of shots of empty London, but the sequel just amps up the emptiness.

Didn't get to see it. Woke up too late to carry out my plan to go early and so by the time I got to my friends' place they were fucked up and everyone else was busy/tired/not answering calls.

28 weeks later is okay, nowhere near as good as the original, but uh... roughly somewhere between the original and hills have herpes 2...
it does sometimes fall into the cliches of stupid zombie / horror flicks that the original tried to avoid, but it's not entirely shit
