Does everyone invovled in the movie have to be dead before they're eligible for the AFI or something? Why is it necessary to do this shit every year?

Hey, they moved Vertigo up from #60-something last time, so at least there's that. I still think The Godfather sucks, though.

The Godfather is better than all the other films in the top ten. I don't know why they do this yearly or whatever since its not like any new movies are going to be instant classics.

Speaking of Lawrence of Arabia, is "
The Golden Warrior" worth reading? Picked it up for some pocket change a few years back, has been sitting on my shelf, unread, ever since

raging bull is genuinely good and important but scorcese has made way better

ive read
the seven pillars of wisdom and parts of
a revolt in the desert, and they were both good, but this one looks pretty dumb. just reading the amazon description makes me think its a pretty pointless read (omg lawrence was gay? breaking news!), just read one of his own memoirs, the two i mentioned are such
