Duck and Cover

Hot Fuzz was a good movie, but Shaun of the Dead was way better.
However I rofled a lot.
The story was really interesting.
I give it 8 out of 10 starving jewish children in Warsaw's jew ghetto.



Smoking Aces was stylish, but well... I might almost say a bit too much 'Snatch', if you can follow me...?

Also the fact that they killed this swell guy with handlebar like in the middle of the movie or so, was entertaining.

It was ok, but srsly... a bit too much of an attempt to bring Snatch-X-treme. Maybe this impression wears off one day and I eventually change my mind, but I guess, only time can answer this question...

Hot Fuzz was great at the end but it took, like, 45 minutes to get started. Kind of like Shaun of the Dead in reverse (hilarious in the beginning and too serious in the end). Way too much straight-man stuff and not enough idiocy.

Smoking Aces was ok except the ending was absolutely retarded. No bit of that twist made logical sense, not that the rest of the movie was precisely realistic, but it blew my suspension of disbelief out of the water.

Smoking Aces was pretty darn entertaining. Some things didn't really match up, but it didn't ruin the movie, methinks. I never saw this Hot Fuzz?

It was a 12 beer film, so I started early.

Did anybody notice how the Nazi Battle Flag was always rolled up or out-of-frame?

And virtually all other Nazi references were sanitized or dismissed as idiotic puffery. (People would start to say "sig heil/etc. and everyone would just wave it off as idiot talk).

Sure, putting swasticas all over the place may have been exaggerated in other films, but this went the other way.

I mean, it was blatant.
