Why the fuck are we talking about a type of pepper, Capsicum annuum (order Polemoniales), with nonpungent flesh, grown for its long red fruit, that is of American origin, but is most popular in Hungary and adjacent countries, which has its seeds removed from the mature fruit, whose flesh is dried and ground to prepare the dry condiment commonly referred to as paprika?

Because paprika (the spice) is good in almost any food, be it to marinate your steaks before you brown them a little on the pan before eating them half raw and bloody or be it in a dip/dressing homemade for a salad or be it generously poured over your cut potatoes and gloves of garlic before popping them in the oven at 110 degrees celcious for about an hour.

Also, paprika (the pepper) is darn good for slicing and stewing, frying or eating raw in salads too.

So, discuss. Make me hungry.

It is also good for spraying/blowing into peoples' faces.

Someday parents will call their children after food. Paprika is just one among them. Childrens from fat parents usually have to suffer under Schweinebraten names.

I love meaty posts and think we need more of them. I'm quite tired of constant one-liners for post counts and all the heavy posts being about how much the poster hates one of the other members of the forum.
