Dexter. it's about a serial murderer who's also a police officer investigating... you guessed it: serial murderers. most of the characters are pretty bland, but dexter himself is played\narrated brilliantly by the same guy who played the gay brother in six feet under. i'm watching the first season finale now, and i'm very impressed.

Yeah, most of the show was great, but the last two episodes sucked.

I'll see how long it lasts till I give it a shot. I'm not really into watching new shows.

I don't watch TV.
except some wildlife documentaries (how do you call this stuff?) etc once every couple of weeks.
News I get in the Internet and films from DVDs, Divix, and cinema. I don't care for other kinds of 'TV shows'; in fact the overwhelming majority of TV disgusts or at leasts bores me.

that, I take it, includes things that have 'seasons' and 'episodes' which I stay away from.
So actually you
do watch TV (content) just on your computer's screen. Not much difference really. (except you choose
when to watch the shows you want, but that's irrelevant here)

well aren't I
seriously though, on the one hand most of what's on TV puts me off and my talking about it can look like I'm trying to be real smartass
but on the other hand I don't finish reading many books and I know far too little about politics, contemporary art etc to call myself an "intellectual"
So I'm just somewhere in the middle - my taste won't let me watch TV crap but I'm too (lazy?) to be a true highbrow
who cares really
edit: btw, about 13 years ago I
did enjoy shows like Northern Exposure MASH, X files and Monty Python is a true classic ofkoz
Nowadays I just don't care to fumble in all the TV shit to find some series worth wasting my time on. I've got better ways of entertaining myself, films, games, books and DAC come to mind first

same for me
it doesn't really matter to know about the news, politics and stuff, it's all just a repeating cycle, plus one can't influence most of it, anyway
I guess half the DAC populace doesn't own a TV even.

dexter's really good. i heartily recommend it. it's uncharacteristically recognizable for people with sociopathic tendensies (what, 40% of the populace, 99% of dack?), and it's the first series in years where i literally can't wait to see the next episode. please try it.

I usually just give a quick glance at the TV guide to see if any interesting movies would air in the non-horrible-dubbed channels.
For some reason I can't follow series on the TV because always sooner or later I'll miss an episode and everything goes downhill.
I recommend the new Battlestar Galactica, it's quite awesome.
