But not an fps, i've already got cs, tf2, and quake 3.
I liked warcraft 3 because of all the custom maps but i had to uninstall it (i forgot why) and now i can't find the damn install code
Anyway, could you guys suggest any good (non-fps) multiplayer games?

You could try Company of Heroes. It's got shitloads of multiplayer potential and a faulty netcode: that's right -- hours of fun and excitement!

Cossacks. One of the most thrilling strategy games ever.

I think game reviews called it Age of Empires 2 clone when it came out, but it's more than that. You get to control much larger armies plus LOTS of different unit types and upgrades, so there are countless strategies you can use to beat your opponent. It's a bit old, but you mentioned Q3 in your original post, so I guess that's not a problem.
Some screens:
It was the first GSC gameworld brainchild (you know, the guys that made STALKER
). There is a sequel, but I haven't playd it so can't tell if it's any good.
[edit] I logged with my account this morning, there are still some people playing it.

I don't know, Dawn of War? Neverwinter Nights? Since you mentioned Civ, IV seems to have a lot of people.

i have dawn of war, its ok but its not very deep, more of a focus on action than strategy. I found the campaigns where waaay too easy, considering ive been through warcraft 2 and 3, and starcraft,bw

Am I the only person that found Civ IV a big disappointment? Or have there been major changes since it was released (and I last played it)? I'm still playing III and all its expansions all over, but IV is shit

I don't know, I'm very terrible at 4X games. And yet for some reason I keep playing them. I only won a game of Master of Orion once, I believe. Playing for two hours as the pacifist hindu then getting my ass owned by Gaelic axemen assholes was fun, though.

I'm no RTS expert either. Maybe that's why I enjoyed DOW so much.
