My eyes are faulty
So, as I've said in some random thread in the Wasteland, I've recently gone through a standard optician check-up of my eyes, which then lead to me going through a deeper, more thurrough analysis of sight capacity, muscle-movement, 3D-view and whatnot which I went through yesterday for an hour.
When it was all done, I felt humiliated from having had to do such idiotic things as stand up and hop, landing with my feet either inwards or outwards as well as focussing alternatively on either a silver or a golden stick and reading the same piece of paper over and over again from different angles. And the nice lady, in all her glory, concluded this:
My eyes are faulty.
Not so much my eyes, actually, mostly just my right one. Due to having been born too early (almost two months) I've apparently not developed my sight and motorics well enough, and my ability to coordinate the signals from both eyes (mostly the right one) in my brain and make a logical conclusion of it is somewhat dimmed from a normal person's ability to do so.
Now, Dreaddy, don't go off and take this as a symbol of me being less intelligent or anything of the likes. In fact, the nice lady told me that me having been able to sort of skip around this for so many years show a very high intelligence level as well as willpower - so go me! It just basically means that I now have to pay a shitload of money to go through six months of weird courses where I train my eye muscles and force myself to evolve that last little bit so I can start seeing 3D properly and optimize my reading ability.
In total, I'm paying $865 on new glasses, which will be divided into paying a small amount every single month for two years, and then I have to pay $590 for treatment - so a grand spanking total of $1455. To me, this is a shitload of money, since it's about twice my monthly income.
So, DACK, I rely on you to come up with ways for me to bring home this kind of money - or to atleast show some kind of sympathy, be it false or not. Any ideas? Should I just go rob a bank? Should I just not buy the new glasses or get the treatment and just go blind, on one eye before the other, and live off of a grant from the government for the rest of my lfe?
What am I to do?

I never criticized your intelligence*. Only that you're a mean cunt and I live to far away to spontaneously come around and punish you.Tingel Tangel wrote:Dreaddy

Anyway, I'd knew few things you could to do earn some money, but I'd need to PM you what it's about...

*Edit: In fact I could almost say that I respect your intelligence, but since you're a woman you don't deserve any kind of respect...
...just kidding.
Curious. I could furnish you with a generous fee in return for your eyes. However, it is a possibility that this could defeat (your) immediate purpose. Nonetheless, all portents indicate that a young lady of very high intelligence as well as willpower would not only adjust, but cope with relative ease.
Oh well.![icon_drunk :drunk:](./images/smilies/icon_drunk.gif)

I've never heard of anything like this, what were your reasons for going in the first place?
If you have health insurance you could probably have them foot some of the bill if you press them. I'm also sure there are government aid programs or something to help you.
Is your face all retarded with like one size bigger than the other because of being born too early?

That's kinda funny. One of the actual treatments for lazy eye is wearing an eyepatch for part of the day, usually at night.Too expensive. Get an eyepatch instead. Then you can start a modern pirate career! Everyone loves pirate girls.
Sounds ridiculous. I worked in the optometry biz for a bit and I can't imagine how that scenario would come about unless you chose a very expensive frame. What sort of lenses are they recommending and what's the script (if you don't mind me asking)? In total, I'm paying $865 on new glasses
Doesn't Denmark have National Health Care?
Or is it triaged so you just have to go do it yourself in order to get things that are not an immediate emergency?
Try putting the monthly bill on a credit card. (Not cash advance, that has mad interest and a ridiculous fee.)
Then just pay double the minimum on that card every month. You might end up spending a decade paying, but it will be a lot easier. Even though it may be double price overall.
Also look into tax exemption for medical expenses.

Hehe, no, my face is not all retarted from having been born too early - I just look like an owl, remember? The only physical issues (apart from faulty eyes) I have from it are my hands and feet being very, very small and my frame generally being a bit wider than my height would suggest. That and the fact that there's a big chance I'll never be able to have babies. (zomg, feelings online!)
I went in to get the initial check because my sight has gotten worse through the last six months, especially when reading - which is frightening, since my studies demand that I read about 60-100 pages every day of ver compressed text. I have a tendancy to have migraines and general headaches and easily get dizzy and woosy. So I went to have it checked.
What I'm going to do next is seek out an external eye doctor and get a second opinion - thankfully, that will be free. If the doc goes "zomg, you need halp! Now!" then I can probably get the government to foot the bill a little, yes - for the treatment, at least. I doubt they'll help with the glasses, since they're now already ordered and such.
My glasses cost extra because I have astigmatism (someone please tell me if this is the proper use of the word?) on both eyes - the lenses have be a certain angle in order to optimize my sight, and that, apparently, costs a lot extra for the craftsmen to do - that or they migh just be shitting me.

I beleive its an astigmatism. Oh and you should be able to get a lower price...most of my family have bad eyes, and astigmatism's and we get glasses for lower prices? then again not sure what the typical price over there is.Tingel Tangel wrote:Hehe, no, my face is not all retarted from having been born too early - I just look like an owl, remember?
