The Mist

It was pretty decent. It had more to do with like how people manage in a crisis with stephan king mixed. My main complaints are that the monster designs were horrible and the movie could of been really good if they actually had some more thought into them. I know its based off of a book but come on.
The ending was very lulzy.

The short story was one of my favorite King pieces. The ending (Like the Dark Tower) really pissed me off. Can you please make a story I like that had a finite ending???
At least the book had adultery in it
Do you think it's worth a looksee, pooper?

Didn't they add some christian cult into the movie? I loved the story, ending and all but this movie just looked bad to me. Oh well. There goes my dreams of seeing this made into an awesome movie.

I think its worth a watch, I'm just telling you my biggest gripe with the film.
There is some religious cult thing going on ya.

Stephen King's best short story was The Langoliers, but this one wasn't bad either. From what I remember of it, anyway.
Oddly, the King book I remember best is Gerald's Game. I can quote whole lines of that book and I only read it once. I didn't even think it was that great. And yet, there it sits, burned into my brain.

I don't think I've read either of those, and I've even read some of his stuff as Bachman

This could easily be the best horror film in the last five years. The ending pissed me off worse than just about any film I can remember though.
And not even the whole ending, just the last minute or so where they completely de-legitimize everything that the protagonists worked for over the course of the film and vindicate Carmody and her followers.

I thought the ending was great, it wasn't a hollywood ending as my dadda would say.

Sadly, the best horror film in the last five years doesn't mean much. Maybe I'll check it out, but first.... No Country For Old Men!! Tonight!!! I'm excited, I heard it was really good from someone who has a similar taste as I do.
P.S.- Pooper, how is it that you get the scoop (pun intended) on all these new movies? What's your secret? I bet you work out alot, don't you?

I thought The Mist was well done considering the not-so-popular unhappy ending and the anger invoked by that old-school christian woman.
Its the only movie I've been to where the entire theatre claps when a main character dies.
