"Tell me about" was a good option... but it didn't work. Ok so maybe it was fun sometimes if you guessed correctly. Besides it gave Fallout that feel of oldschool text games. But most of the time they didn't say anything - simply annoying. I'll have to try those now that I have them under my very nose - thanks Sir. I want a bible update anyway

Huh, thanks for all of those.
Pyro, from my expeience, all the Master will ever say is "I am the Master. I do not have to answer to you".

Nice! I actually found a bunch of those by trial-and-eror... What about Ian?

That's funny. I didn't use that option a lot, after I realized it's pretty useless because you still get enough information through dialogue. Can you see the the dialogue lines in master.dat for every NPC? If there's some interesting stuff, dunno.

I use the Ask About option only if it is a talking head. Otherwise, nah. Nice to hear what the talkng heads say. I love Harold.

Heh, where can I find the dictionary? I think I should be doing a bit of cutting and pasting from it to add to my vault of 'cool stuff', lol...

These were found in the .dat files of Fallout. I used a DAT unpacker and checked out the .txt and .msg files in Notepad...
Anyway, I've noticed that complete lists of Tell me About's have been included in the Bible now... so you wont have to search for your self...

I used it a lot at first, then I found out that it was a dead end cnversation. Good idea though, but it's really the kind of thing that Shadowrun (SNES) had, only more advanced as in you could type it in instead of choosing from a list.

There is a
lot of background info in there, though. For instance, you can't find out about the near fued between the Water Merchants and the BoS unless you ask Maxson.
I did basically the same thing: used it a lot at first, then got tired of negative responses, so I quite using it. However, in my recent game of FO I've been using the hell out of it and actually learned quite a bit more about the setting.
I think that some of the responses are either limited to certain maps, or they weren't actually implemented. I asked Ian about some of the names on his list (the ones that coincided w/names of Khans) and he didn't have anything to say about them. Maybe because they were already dead?
Cheers,
OTB
