Unused Vault Boy pictures

Post by Saint_Proverbius »

<strong>[ -> N/A]</strong>

<b>Ausir</b> of <a href="http://www.master.pl/~ausir/fallout/">Sierra Army Depot</a> has uncovered a bunch of <a href="http://www.master.pl/~ausir/fallout/pipboy.php">unused Vault Boy pictures</a>, aka PipBoy, from the old <a href="http://www.duckandcover.net/fallout/fil ... l">demo</a> for <a href="http://interplay.com/fallout">Fallout</a>. Here's one of many:<br><br><div align="center"><a href="http://www.master.pl/~ausir/fallout/pipboy.php"><img src="http://duckandcover.net/fallout/images/lechrus.jpg" height="117" width="140"></a></div><br><br>There's GOBS of them there so it's well worth checking out. Good work, <b>Ausir</b>!<br><br>Oh, and <b>Ausir</b> was one of the nice gentlemen who translated <A href="http://interplay.com/fallout2/">Fallout 2</a> in to Polish, so when you get the Polish version and don't like the translation job, blame him!

Splendid. This makes for some interesting discussions. Was gunsmithing in the original design plan?

If I'm not mistaken, some of those pics aren't new. Great work anyway, Ausir. :)

Better to ask Tim Cain about those pics, might bring some memories :wink:

Some of them are similar to those that were in the game, but are slightly different.

unused pics

These pics were leftover from when Fallout was GURPS. If I sat down with my Basic Set, I could probably identify all of them. It's amazing though, how much I still laugh at these. T. Ray was a genius.

Tim.

p.s. Many people seem to think this is the PipBoy, but this is the FalloutBoy character. The PipBoy is the yellow and red caped character who appears on the pipboy device.

Isn't that great?

So they managed to screw up the PipBoy in Fallout2 (the intro) and FO:T (in 3d playable form now)...

Well it's quite obvious, why would the Pipboy have on a V13 outfit on; he's not a vault dweller; he's a corporate logo.
