Is there anyway to get out of Tactics while it is running, I can't alt tab out of it. Is there any way to change this?

First, let me introduce you to something called Di-Rect-X. This lets your computer draw pretty pictures, among other things.
Second, now let me introduce you to Di-Rect-X Re-Tain-D Mo-duh. This mode lets your computer draw pretty pictures without letting you screw with it by taking away its resources.
FOT uses Retained Mode.
So no.

Any attempt to do it will crash Tactics.

Assholes aside, the only way to "get out" of FOT while it's running is to use windowed mode. To do so:
1) Right-click on the shortcut you use to start Fallout Tactics.
2) Click on the "Shortcut" tab.
3) In the "Target" textbox, you'll see something like "C:\Program Files\14 Degrees East\Fallout Tactics\XXXXX.exe"
Where I wrote XXXXX.exe, you should have BOS.exe. If you don't, simply type it in.
4) After that's done, simply add the following in the same textbox:
-w
Your final shortcut should look like this:
"C:\Program Files\14 Degrees East\Fallout Tactics\BOS.exe" -w
Note that if you didn't install the game to the default location (which is what's above), you'll see something different. The important part is the BOS.exe" -w part
Note: You could just copy/paste what's in bold text into the textbox, and you should be good-to-go.

Yeah, true, you could do that. However, framerates go down and I've encountered some very odd video/sound/input bugs with it in windowed mode. Not recommended.

Well, I run the editor and the actual game in windowed mode, and I don't have any problems. I actually get better framerates when windowed.
Wierd.

That better framerate is because the game is reading the WINDOWS frame refresh rate, not the game's. And I run the editor in windowed mode myself. But the game is far too choppy in windowed mode (32MB TNT2) to be recommended.
re-enabling full screen mode

Thanks for your help guys, I got the game running in windowed mode just fine, but now it always goes into windowed mode, even after removing the -w parameter, how can I make it go back into full screen mode?

I figured it out after much screwing around with the config files. If anybody else has this problem, all you need to do is go into "core" directory in you bos folder and open the bos.cfg file with notepad, the very first line, it says display.bbs or something like that I don't exactly remember. The value next to it will say 0 if it goes to window mode. Change it to 1 and save and it will start in full screen mode.

1st: Max..Great Avitar!
2nd: I have a keyboard with buttons that you can program to open different programs. For example...
If you aint allowed to be playing FO:T and your mom is comeing up tha hall, you can just press a shortcut button, and it goes straight to a program.
I reccomend buying one of these keyboards if you need to get away from this... ... And, program the buton to go to an 'easy-to-run' program, like MS Paint for example.
You get it?

What the hell... I checked the BOS.cfg file after I couldnt get the game and editor to get out of windowed mode. On mine it says:
{Display.bpp} = {32} (It might say 16 on someone else's)
That is only for image quality, 32 bit, or 16bit.

This is not mine, Red told me. You guys should check the topics a bit. If in game you go to options and select one of the given resolutions it changes back to full screen.
