Burner fucked?

So my burner started fucking up on me.
When I burn a CD with music on it, the first minute of each track is really glitchy. And at least 1 or 2 tracks per CD don't work at all.
I am not keen on buying a new burner straight away, but if I have to I certainly will.
But could that be some software or codec error or something like that or is the burner about to kick the bucket?
So here the symptoms in a summary:
* 1st minute of each track glitchy
* 1 or 2 tracks per CD don't work
I've tried it many many times and it was always glitchy. Also, I used different kinds of CDs but it stayed as glitchy.
I haven't tried it on DVDs but I expect the same crap.
Help me please, DAC.

It's like amputating both arms and legs willingly. No thanks.

A mac is a more expensive, less versatile, slower, ugly looking piece of shit.

Maybe your taste of music is shitty and the burner can't really cope with it.

Have you tried it in different readers? Could be that. I have exactly the same problem when I play self-burned CDs in my car stereo, but the CDs work fine elsewhere.

It is almost certainly an act of protest in response to your uncouth habit of undressing the computer with your porcine eyes.

Yeah but whatever Blargh says can also be left unsaid without any significant impact on anything, according to the Chaos theory.... or whatever.
