I was never much into Diablo 2 because I don't know maybe because my friends didn't have it at the time I played it but I would have fun with Diablo 3.

When the armageddon comes, they'll be the first to know.

Why do they call these games RPGs, though? :?

I'm impressed by it. And Starcraft 2 didn't impress me much at all.

You're here as well?

Yeah, StarCraft 2 is just a revamp of the old system, an attempt at making the next new national sport of Korea.
The thing you'll be wanting to see, is the single-player campaign.

They don't, they call them ACTION RPG's.
I'd say the difference is that we know the difference between actually playing a role, or just moving a puppet.
Most people just think of it as roleplaying, since you're controlling some representation of a character in a fantasy universe.

Mass-pleasing gimmick. As usual.

using that logic, pretty much any game can be called a role-playing game :semantix:

diabol iii looks pretty good, although i wasn't all that much into 1&2. for some reason the gameplay video actually made me want to play diabol ii again, and if i recall correctly i thought it was pretty boring and crap when i tried it back in the day. brainwashaments! we'll see once the download finishes.

ya... you could even call call of duty 4 an rpg. Because you are roleplaying a soldier and leveling up lol.. to me thats not a true rpg but it does make sense.

Some interesting shit from the Blizzard forums.

Yet another doctored image:

Apparently the majority of fans aren't pleased with the new WOWed up look. I for one don't blame them.

yes, lets make every color a shade of brown and apply a grain filter for the maximum grittiness and darkness and evilness. the edited pictures look like buttcrap. the game won't come out in another 8 years anyway so who knows how it will finally look like.

I think the issue was removal of vibrant purple and green tones as well as bloom. Didn't know we had such ardent bloom fanatics here at DaC. Not better at all? Really? At least it looks more Diablo. Also; see if you can spot the RAINBOW in the original image. LOOLOLOLOLOLo

Those fixed ones look more like Diablo than the real "warcraft diablo" ones.

Turn down your brightness if you don't want to see the game itself.

There was the blizzard intern band (lvl80etc) and an orchestra playing at the close off, and I have to say it was a thrill, just as awesome as ANY real concert.

And hearing the whole hall cheer and growl a big ol' FOR THE HORDE 10 times, was really, really great.

Can't beat collective cheering and dedication; fuck the rest who are too good to join in, and bring on the ones who don't know what's going on.

And mass-wankery ensued.
