I only played the first game, but I didn't know there were any mythological or supernatural parts in the games...
Looks kinda cheesy, like a matrix ripoff or smt.

more than likely the supernatural stuff is related to the whacked out dream sequences that your character had? i thought perhaps that would be obvious

MAX PAYNE IS TEH 5H!7. Especially number 2. And since the whole game is about drugs i am willing to attribute slow mo to being exceptionally fucking high.
Hopefully they can pull of something reasonable like hitman which honestly was not that bad, apart from the HOMOSEXUAL KNIFE FIGHT.

That looks... surprisingly not shit.
I guess they're going out of their way to more closely link the Valkyr drug to the supernatural Valkyrie concept, which is neat I suppose.
I just hope that they don't muck about with the story too badly, it was really the best thing that the first game had going for it. Plus, if they stay true to it they're well set to adapt the second one.

Don't slam it till you watch it, this one has some real potential. Though that can potentially turn it into a shambling mound of shit too, but i have a surprisingly good feeing about this one.

Well it doesn't look bad. But it also doesn't look too good either. I predict that this movie won't shatter anything as we know it. It will just be another movie most people will get from blockbusters on a sunday afternoon on DVD.

I don't know, since I missed his childhood stardom shit which most people seem hooked on, I've never had a problem with him. He's made some movies I've found entertaining and some utter shit ones; like every other actor.
