I saw them live in Tallinn, in June.
From the three songs that I really wanted them to play, Seasons in the Abyss, Skeletons of Society and Dead Skin Mask, they only played the latter one. Was still a good gig though.

I haven't been following their stuff since 1990-93 or so.
So It's my memory that I love.

There's no need to, haven't made an album worth a damn since Reign in Blood, and even that had only a few good songs.

Apparently everyone seems to hate Diablous In Musica? That's my favourite album by them. I also love God Hates Us All, and especially Seasons In The Abyss. Fucking wunderbar.

Oh and by the way, I got the new album as well a while ago, Christ Illusion, but did not like it too much. I didn't really give it a proper chance, but it seemed like a letdown.

Seasons In The Abyss was good. God Hates Us All has one line I remember: "I keep a bible in a pool of blood so it's lies can't affect me!"
Laughies!
Diabolus In Musica just didn't do it for me.
I think I'm just jaded. Also, long amounts of noise mean little to me.
Except with the early stuff, where I shall excuse it.

Meh.. its ok. I never liked their studio-sound, and I especially never liked their live sound. They are like pancakes.. light and fluffy, but unfortunately for slayer, metal is best served as wholegrain brown bread.

That's how I used to think of them as well, and that is where Diabolus In Musica came in and changed my opinion. I think that album definately took the Slayer sound to a whole new level.

It was most unimpressive. Slayer just plain old sucks balls in a most gay way. End of talk.
