oh and just for the record, as the olympics - the symbol of peace between nations - have started:
Putin earlier today told U.S. President George W. Bush in Beijing that ``volunteers'' were pouring over the border to help defend South Ossetia from Georgian forces, according to Putin spokesman Dmitry Peskov. ``War started today in South Ossetia'' when Georgia attacked Russian peacekeepers in the disputed region, Putin said. The Defense Ministry later said it deployed ``reinforcements'' in the region.
I've boycotted the NHL since the Whalers left town...
Fuck Gary Bettman.
Fucking sell the team to Carolina and then win the cup.
Fuckers.
Ain't no ice in Carolina.
Oh what I wouldn't pay to see one of those Whalers vs. Nordiques classics from my childhood, where at the end, the rink looked like a fucking war zone, pads, sticks, puddles of blood, broken teeth...

Ha, yeah, I gotta admit I miss the Jets, the Nordiques, Whalers and the North Stars, and also players with long hair and mustaches Haaaa, the '80s....
Still, I'm pretty happy the Canadiens are decent again, they were goddamn awful from the Roy trade till last year.

Yeah I like the Habs.
That's my problem now though, I don't have a team. I live about 90 minutes drive from either Bruins, Rangers, Devils, and Islanders (the oversaturation probably being why the Whalers left) but I grew up hating all those teams. I could never root for any of them.
The Habs are the anti-Bruins though, and I like the heritage.
You can't argue with a good blow job -George Carlin
Of those 4 teams, I'd go with the Rangers, though I can't bring myself to like them much. Islanders have been a wreck since Bossy retired, the Devils are boring to watch, and the Bruins... well the Bruins are the Bruins, I just hate them(lol, Ryder at 4 millions per).
YES! he owned them all quite a few times. the one that i was refering to, he was amost a second away from france already beating the world record, but barely won but a split second. It was fucking awesome, dont say no about that. btw, china is beating US in gold medals, be US is beating everyone in medals, period.
