Duck and Cover

The beginning is great and there are a lot of stars in the movie with like every turn. Robert Downey is good but my mom said she had a hard time understanding him with his added blackness.

There are parts in the movie about retards which is really funny because he plays a really good retard and goes balls out. Basically the movie is really over the top and ben stillerish and has a lot of goofy stuff.


It's basically what you expect from the previews but there are even some fags on other forums asking people who have seen the movie if they think Downey deserves an oscar nod which is just fucking stupid and very internet like.

funny, I've just been checking rottentomatoes and youtube for this flick yesterday. DVD rip's not yet around though

Anyhow, although I'm not a Ben Stiller fan, this looks like a good silly (yea these sometimes go together) comedy flick to enjoy on a lazy afternoon.

We're talking one la-azy fucking afternoon.

La-azy ? Personally, I'd be bloody well dead before I subjected myself to any child of Stiller, Sandler, or any other earthly manifestation of <deleted>.

Movie could have been fucking brilliant but was just a silly ass story built around a few mediocre jokes. The performances were what made it worth watching. Downey was fucking amazing, as always, and Jack Black was funny as fuck, especially early on. Tom Cruise was badass too but from what I understood the role started off as a cameo and it seems like it tested well so they included extra scenes. Unfortunately they overplayed it and it got tiresome, especially at the very end of the film. Still, even Tom Cruise is fucking great in it.

Oh, and did I mention Nick fuckin' Nolte is in it? Fucking badass.

On a completely unrelated note Bethesda should have hired your ass to do the pipboy images, the shit they've got for Fallout 3 fucking sucks. This is nothing unexpected but true nonetheless.

Wasn't Downey Jr. already nominated for something or other? I agree he deserves an Oscar, but there's no way in hell he'll win it for this.

I might see it. I've heard nothing but raves...and rants from advocacy groups for the mentally disabled. That can only be a good thing.

even though they showed in the beginning that it was r. downey jr. I thought they had gotten someone else to play that role all through the movie

Watching ben stiller is like hitting your eyes out with an ice pick, except the ice pick is better because then you can't see ben stiller afterwards.

Apparently Ben Stiller is popular overseas. God knows why.

Japan only furthers the stereotype that Ben Stiller is funny.

As horrible as Ben Stiller might be, he still beats Adam Sandler. :jew:

I don't know about him beating sandler, they are both pretty much as bad as it gets.
