A new sci fi series which got my attention lately.
It shows promise as the new X-Files and even has its own marlboro man this time portrayed as a middle age red headed woman with a cybernetic hand.

Anyway its the same government run thing but here its not a Mulder searching for aliens its the search to understand the pattern.
Appearently when you reach a certain level of technology a pattern of so called coincidences emerge and this is the premises for the entire series.

My favorite character so far is not the super hot FBI agent or that weird looking black guy we saw and loved in Lost. Its the weird as scientist who they dig out from a mental hospital where he has been sitting the last 16 years. Before being comitted he was researching some very experimental technology and he is now back to work with the pattern along with his son.

John Noble plays his role very very well. Its like he was made for it.

Very watchable show and coems highly recommended. Episode two was kind of weird though.. disturbingly so but still, not every X files episode was great.[/quote]

The only new(ish) series you should be watching is Mad Men. That goes for all of you.

It's about a Madison Avenue ad agency circa 1962 and wheelers and dealers that run it. Great acting, killer writing, and apparently very historically accurate, right down to the three-martini lunches and beehive hairdos. And that redhead on the front page (Christina Hendricks) has arguably the hottest body on television today.

EDIT: As an added bit of cred, it just won the Emmy for Best Drama, after only one year on the air. Not even The Sopranos had that kind of early award recognition, although we all know the Emmys are a crock. That said, they do get it right on occasion.
