Trailer
Michael Bay is one of the Producers, along with Sean S. Cunningham, the guy who's been behind every Friday the 13th movie since the first time Jason came on the scene. Apparently, it's going to be a complete remake of the original...
At least it's not another sequel, like the gem Jason X.
Although I feel a bit of discomfort that Hollywood is again trying to play with a dead franchise, the idea that Jason isn't just going to walk after his prey and pop up from random, unexpected areas, but rather, is gonna be sprinting after people like he truly means business, makes it all the more enticing.
Friday the 13th Remake
ENOUGH WITH THE FUCKING REMAKES
I don't mind remakes of 60 years old movies which pretty much nobody saw nowadays, and then they decide to make a good remake so that the modern audience can discover a gem, but remakes of recent flicks are a stupid idea, especially if the original idea is a bad idea.

Wasn't his mom the killer in the original? I guess that twist wouldn't work a second time around. I could have lived without a remake of this.
