Beneath a Steel Sky and Ihnmaims(abbr.) are the only ones I have played and aren't the best of adventure games but were playable at that time(I don't know, what, 10+ years ago?). I don't think I finished the latter.

youtube tells me abbr. has an angstier sounding protagonist than BSS (acr.).

I'm leaning towards installing abbr and deleting acr but the masses must first be heard stand forth and be counted ehue

I loved BASS. Did you get the one with voice actors?

I have Uplink, and while the premise is kind of cool and stuff, I found it way too overly complicated and dull. It's very easy to fire away and see if you enjoy it or not in a short space of time.

edit: did I mention that the main char in BASS is named after a can of beer?

I read the short story I have no mouth and I must scream, so I'm curious to see what the game is like.

I imagine short of AM being a conniving cunt with magic powers, it'd have very little to do with the short story in itself.

If he's trolling he's doing a pretty poor effort of it :p I honestly wondered exactly the same thing when I heard about the game, and noticed that it was centered around different characters.

The only game I played a bit of on that list was uplink and that was the demo, like stainless already said it was a cool idea but overly stuff you know.


BASS is universally claimed to be good though.

I played I have no mouth and I must scream recently and it's really... different. Some very nice concepts and awesome atmosphere, definitely recommend it.
